Shawna started in the mortgage business in 2021, and has over 25 years in customer service. She chose Flanagan State Bank because of the familial feeling they have cultivated. As a loan officer, she believes that everyone should have the opportunity to finance their dream home. Shawna builds her network by seeking out those who would not typically think buying a home is something they could do, which is why you rarely find her in the office. Instead, Shawna is venturing out to meet with borrowers, builders, and baristas!
“There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a first-time home buyer get the keys to their home. You can almost see their future unfold before your eyes. It is the kind of feeling that makes me want to work harder for my clients than anyone! To educate and explain the loan process as it unfolds so that they are comfortable and confident long after we have left the closing table.”
Shawna was born in Northern Wisconsin, but grew up in Ogle County. She is the mother of 5 adult children, and Oma to 2 little ladies. When she is not working, she can be found with her Granddaughters, enjoying the peace of her Koi Pond and searching for the next great cup of coffee!
